Games
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Olly olly oxen free" is a phrase used in children's games, which is generally used to indicate that people who are hiding (in a game of hide and seek, for example) can safely come out into the open.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Capture the flag" (CTF) is a traditional outdoor game often played by children or sometimes adults where two teams each have a flag (or other marker) and the objective is to capture the other team's flag, located at the team's "base", and bring it back to their own base. It is also a popular paintball game and a computer game.

This month I am highlighting honoring the awesome people in your life by giving a gift to charity in their name. Glamour magazine's Women of the Year fund honors Empowering Hands, African women who were child soldiers. Read more about their cause and donate to their cause. Or to another that is important to you. Happy holidays!

Fellow creativity instructor, and amateur boxer, Eric Larson is offering a Writer's Bootcamp in Berkeley.

Here's what he has to say," Inspired by my recent hardcore 6-week stint training for a true-blue boxing match (and a minor case of unemployment), this two-week, ten day, twenty-hour workshop is aimed at whipping people--you know the type: they want to have written, but they never seem to get around to actually writing--and their pens into something resembling shape."

Writing Bootcamp
Studio 12, 2525 8th St. Berkeley, CA
Dec 3-15, Monday-Friday, 6-8AM, $200

The full schedule is now online at The Festival page."

September 2007

Exercise your creativity -- on the fringe, in circle of women, on a boat!

Friend and fellow writer, Dona Budd will be performing at San Francisco's Fringe Festival. Here's what she says:
'Some of you will be surprised, not to say aghast, at this announcement of my theatre debut, performing some of my work at the San Francisco Fringe Theatre Festival. If you've never attended the Fringe, you might wanna--it's like a film festival only more bizarre. Anyway, I'd be so pleased and honored if you're able to and inclined to risk an hour in my direction. I'm working like hell to make it worth your while. Hope to see you at the Fringe!'

Another writer at work: Suzy Manning, just sent me her beautiful book on Wise Women -- Circle of Women, full of insightful quotes combined with fun, easy actions to make a difference in your life.

Exercise your creativity and your leadership on a sailing boat. Friend, and fellow BNI member,Greg Norte, does fabulous leadership training seminars on sailing boats in the San Francisco Bay.
